Hanoverian Sport Horses
Williston, Fl. USA

We are a 50 acre facility 10 miles west of Ocala. We are currently developing our farm to cater to the needs of broodmares and their foals. As we grow and develop our own breeding program, we are also offering broodmare and foal services to individuals needing assistance with foaling to raising the young warmblood horse.

We started breeding warmbloods in 1995, Hanoverians specifically in 2000. Our family has been involved in breeding since 1982 when the farm was a 5 acre home in Ct. and Quarter Horses were the breed of choice. At 16, I fell in love with sport horses, got my first TB mare, and the rest is history.

As we develop as a mare station, it is our hopes and dreams to be involved in the creation and upbringing of fabulous Hanoverian and other warmblood horses of sport. We offer large foaling stalls, 24 hour care and supervision, and foal watch via cameras and in home monitors. We also use the chemetrix milk testing methods for narrowing foaling windows. The Foal Alert System is available to those who wish to use it as well.

After foaling we offer rebreeding services through Equine Medical Center of Ocala. Dr. Corey Miller is available for breeding needs. The mare's and foals are transported to the clinic for frozen semen breeding. Dr. Miller is available for on farm ultra sounding, cooled semen breeding and or flushing as necessary. The close proximity of the clinic  and farm allows for minimal over night stays, and much of the prep and post insemination care is done here at the farm. Dr. Miller specializes in breeding with frozen semen, cooled shipped semen, and embryo transfers.

Mares and foals are shipped privately in our custom made horse trailer, allowing for box stalled trips. This is a huge safety factor when transporting youngsters. EMCO also offers a full service neonatal ICU, should the need arise.

After your foal is weaned, we offer services to house and raise your foal until of riding age. Foals are kept in generous paddocks, in small groups of similar age. This allows for maximal socialization yet keeps them safe from a large herd environment and possible injury. Foals are kept on grass hay and a complete feed supplement for proper protein, fat, and carbohydrate levels. We pay special attention to calcium and phosphorous ratios, copper intake and selenium. The key to growing a healthy foal is proper nutrition and plenty of exercise. This feeding program is instrumental in preventing OCD in foals and other common ailments such as ephiphisitis, contracted tendons, splints, and degenerative changes associated with improper nutrition.

Please feel free to contact us for assistance with mare and foal.
